At the New Inn, West Knighton, we are proud of our homemade pub grub, using wherever possible only the best of local ingredients. We can cater for a quick lunch or a group booking.

We also have a good selection of Wines, Lagers, and Beers to compliment your meal. We also offer a selection of dishes for children and the usual side dish options. To our knowledge, all our foods are GM and Nut free unless otherwise stated. Our food is freshly cooked, please allow preparation time during busy periods.

Portland crab & spring onion potato cake, on stir fired noodles & pac choi, sweet chilli, coriander & lime dressing.

Whitcombe rabbit & chicken terrine, studded with green peppercorns & wrapped in smoked bacon, served with an autumnal spiced plum jam & fresh baguette.

Deep fried Halloumi cheese, homegrown Dorset leaf salad & a spicy gooseberry and coriander chutney.

Pan roasted Whitcombe partridge, warm salad of new potatoes, roasted beetroot & bacon lardons, topped with caramelized onion jam & aged Balsamic syrup.

Steamed Cornish mussels, with cider, leeks & chorizo served with crusty bread.

Confit duck leg, served with Lyonaisse potatoes & sugar snap peas & a local blackberry infused jus.

Breast of chicken, filled with wild mushrooms & wrapped in smoked bacon on dauphinoise potatoes & buttered tenderstem broccoli, light chicken jus.

Hake fillet, wrapped in prosciutto ham & served on roasted Provençal vegetables & spicy chorizo, drizzled with lemon oil.

Jurassic Coast 8oz sirloin steak, on wok fried greens, served with a wild mushroom & brandy sauce & crispy French fries.

Rosemary crusted rump of lamb, pan fried new potatoes, green beans and minted peas, rich red wine jus.

Roasted butternut squash & butter bean cassoulet , topped with vegan cheddar cheese crust & served with roasted garlic & olive oil mash.

Slow roasted belly pork , crispy bacon & Bury black pudding, whole grain mustard mash, sweet apple chutney & a Somerset cider jus.

Roast fillet of salmon, crushed new potatoes, asparagus, fine beans, and spinach, basil scented butter sauce.
