At the New Inn, West Knighton, we are proud of our homemade pub grub, using wherever possible only the best of local ingredients. We can cater for a quick lunch or a group booking.

We also have a good selection of Wines, Lagers, and Beers to compliment your meal. We also offer a selection of dishes for children and the usual side dish options. To our knowledge, all our foods are GM and Nut free unless otherwise stated. Our food is freshly cooked, please allow preparation time during busy periods.

Dorset game terrine, fresh leaf salad, rosemary focaccia and a grape & ruby port chutney

Black pudding and potato hash brown, topped with a soft poached free range egg, glazed with hollandaise sauce

New Forest wild mushroom tart, pesto dressing and a homegrown leaf salad

Deep fried Wookey Hole cave aged cheddar croquettes, roasted tomato and basil jam, homegrown pea shoot salad

Oak smoked salmon & crayfish parcel, bound with Marie Rose sauce, fresh coleslaw salad, citrus dressing

Char grilled chicken Tikka skewers, onion bhaji, raita yoghurt dressing and curry oil

Roasted butternut squash & fresh sage risotto, topped with Vale of Camelot blue cheese & toasted pine nut, drizzled with extra virgin olive oil


Slow braised beef cheek, honey roasted parsnips and chantenay carrots, creamy horseradish mash

Roast breast of corn-fed chicken, stuffed with Dorset black garlic butter and wrapped in bacon, fettuccine pasta tossed with wild mushrooms and homegrown tender stem broccoli

Honey roasted creedy carver duck breast, celeriac purée, sauté greens and a five spiced scented jus

Baked salmon and spinach filo parcel, sauté of new potatoes and home grown green beans, lemon butter sauce

Moroccan chickpea & coriander Falafel burger, topped with a spicy tomato chutney and halloumi cheese, served on a Japanese milk bun, with our homegrown salad & sweet potato fries

Roasted middle cut cod fillet, wrapped in smoked pancetta, sauté of new potatoes, rocket and sun blush tomatoes, roasted tomato and basil dressing

Slow roasted pork belly, glazed with BBQ sauce, served with chunky cajun potato wedges and homemade coleslaw

Roast rump of Dorset lamb, rosemary scented gratin potatoes, tender stem broccoli, rich red currant and mint glaze
