At the New Inn, West Knighton, we are proud of our homemade pub grub, using wherever possible only the best of local ingredients. We can cater for a quick lunch or a group booking.

We also have a good selection of Wines, Lagers, and Beers to compliment your meal. We also offer a selection of dishes for children and the usual side dish options. To our knowledge, all our foods are GM and Nut free unless otherwise stated. Our food is freshly cooked, please allow preparation time during busy periods.

Soup of the day

Local game terrine, roasted beetroot and orange chutney with toasted sour dough

Wild mushroom and Blue Vinny tartlet seasonal leaf salad, served with a caramelised red onion jam

Home cured salmon gravadlax, wholegrain mustard and dill dressing with granary bread and butter

Roasted homegrown butternut squash, fresh sage, and gruyere pasty, on a rocket and sun blushed tomato salad and finished with a balsamic reduction

Deep fried tempura king prawns, sweet chilli, lime, and coriander glaze on a warm rice noodle salad

Pan fried award winning Bury black pudding, sauté of spicy chorizo and parmentier potatoes topped with poached heath farm egg


Local pheasant breast wrapped in smoked bacon, on truffle oil mash and finished with a wild mushroom jus

Confit pork belly, on champ mash, with Bury black pudding, apple puree and sage infused cider jus

6oz pan seared sirloin steak, crispy french fries, grilled tomato, garlic and a parsley butter

Chicken and pork cassoulet, topped with a gruyere crust and roasted garlic mash

Tofu and chickpea tikka curry, served with coriander rice and a sour dough flat bread

Heath farm pork faggots, with sauté new potatoes and tender-stem broccoli, finished with red onion jus, and crispy onion rings

Roast monkfish wrapped in pancetta, on crushed new potatoes and wok fried greens with a whole grain mustard sauce topped with crispy leeks
