A building of history in the Dorset countryside
The New Inn, West Knighton is reputed to have been started by the village blacksmith, George Voss, back in or about 1851. He was listed in papers of the time as "blacksmith and beer retailer". By the 1861 census he is listed as Publican of the Three Horseshoes and 10 years later the census lists the pub as the New Inn, the name carried through to today.
2012 saw new owners at the helm; who, whilst keen to keep the warmth and character of the pub have upgraded and modernised the accommodation for guests who may wish to explore the sights and attractions of Dorset from this quiet village. We can also offer accommodation at the nearby (approx 1 mile) Black Dog in Broadmayne.
